Music Faculty Publishes Article

Dr. Kara Washington Harris, Assistant Professor of Music Education, has published an article in the February 2010 issue of the MTNA ejournal, “A Study in the Relationship Between Selected Characteristics of Private Music Students and Success in Private Music Lessons.”

Darius Hill, Chair of the Visual Arts Department at the Alabama School of Fine Arts will be exhibiting his prints and painting at the Warren/Britt galleries in the Tullibody Fine Arts Center. He is an exhibiting artists, participating in various exhibitions throughout the Southeast. His work is represented in many collections including museums, corporate and private thrhoughout the U.S. He recently received and Individual Artist Fellowship from the Alabama State Council on the Arts. The Exhibition runs from February 2nd through February 26. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 to 4:30.

CVPA Assembly

The College of Visual & Performing Arts will hold an inaugural collegiate assembly at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2010 in the Leila Barlow Theatre. This event is open for all art, music, and theater majors as well as students that participate in these programs and interested public.
